Some 30000 Ukrainian refugees reach France

Around 30,000 Ukrainian refugees arrived in France. Half of them traveled through France to Spain, according to Emmanuelle Wargon, French housing minister.

Franceinfo radio’s Wargon stated that 100,000 refugees from Ukraine were being welcomed by the government.

France has granted temporary European Union residence permits to Ukrainian refugees. This allows them to access schools and work in France.

The French Ukrainian community was 40,000 strong before the war.
