Forum of Jahorina, European politicians: “Republika Srpska with Dodik has great prospects”

On April 25th, 2022, in the Republic of Srpska, one of the two entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the ski resort of Jahorina, an international forum on the strategy for economic development has been held: the main topics have been the economic reactions to the challenges of our time and the problems of democracy in the countries of the European continent. The Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, has opened the debate by speaking of important changes the world’s geopolitical map is going through since the unipolar domain held by the United States is rapidly becoming history.

As part of the forum, on April 26th, a discussion panel was held on the topic “DEMOCRACY IN EUROPE: the cost of free choice and cancel culture”, which was attended by experts, politicians and political scientists from Italy, Austria and Germany.

The following personalities took part in the discussion on freedom of speech and the right of opinion: Olga Peterson, member of the Parliament of Hamburg (Germany), Fabrizio Bertot, former European Parliamentarian (Italy), Antonio Razzi, former Italian Senator, Frank Creyelman , honorary member of the Parliament of Flandria (Belgium), Alessandro Bertoldi, Executive Director of the Friedman Institute, Stefano Valdegamberi, Regional Councilor of Veneto, Johann Gudenus, political and economic consultant for the Balkan and CIS countries, Former Deputy Mayor of Vienna. Dr. Srdja Trifkovic, professor of Chronicles Magazine (USA), moderated the debate.

Fabrizio Bertot, said that Italy needs to work more closely with Milorad Dodik, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “I have the most positive impression of this policy. Together with our colleagues from the Regional Council of Venero, we will send Mr. Dodik an invitation to visit our regions for an exchange of experiences and perspectives “, concluded the former Italian parliamentarian.

Alessandro Bertoldi, believes that Europe should be more understanding of Republika Srpska and its aspirations: “I believe that the personality of Milorad Dodik is very important for the whole of Europe and for the region”. The political scientist added: “We must unite to maintain peace and stability”.

Johann Gudenus, has talked about his personal ties with the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina: “My wife is from Banja Luka, we got married in the church of S. Savva and Milorad Dodik attended our wedding.”. The former deputy mayor of Vienna went on to say: ”He is the guardian of the Serbian tradition, of Serbian relations with Russia, the hope for Republika Srpska”.

Frank Kreyelman, believes that the Republika Srpska under the leadership of Milorad Dodik has long since “crossed” the boundaries of just being an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “As the people of Donbas and Crimea have every right to choose who they want to live with, so the people of Republika Srpska have the right to decide whether they want to live independently or return under the Serbian wing. The Belgian senator pointed out: “Milorad Dodik is a political leader strong enough to implement it”.

As experts agreed, Republika Srpska remains a happy island of peace and freedom in Europe and its leader, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, is a modern, free and independent patriotic leader in Europe who guarantees regional stability. According to the European speakers, Milorad Dodik is an example of the leadership of European countries and the region in the coherent defence of the national interests of the Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while often the same cannot be said of many European Union leaders who result more focused on supporting the US position rather than looking out for the interests of their constituents, especially when political conditions are quite turbulent.
