French forensic experts in Bucha to help Ukraine investigate possible war crimes

French forensic experts have arrived in Bucha (Kyiv) to help Ukraine authorities determine what happened in the town. There were hundreds of bodies discovered there after Russian forces withdrew.

According to Ukraine the Russian forces killed civilians during the occupation. Reuters is unable to verify the death count or the circumstances surrounding the deaths in Bucha.

After the Russian withdrawal, Bucha’s civilian victims were discovered and a worldwide outcry ensued. Moscow denied any responsibility, and dismissed claims by its troops of war crimes.

Hazmat suit-wearing workers dug a shallow hole to find the earth, then lifted an orange cloth-covered mass. French Gendarmerie’s Forensic Science Department viewed the action.

Witnesses have told us that Iryna Vediktova, the Prosecutor General, stated that the parts of the body found inside belonged to a woman and her child.

Venediktova said that the French experts would help the Ukrainian authorities to determine what happened to Bucha’s people in the coming weeks.

Venediktova said that there were many war crimes jobs at the churchyard where Venediktova spoke. The town had been occupied and the locals had already laid to rest those who were killed.

Venediktova stated that “when you see dead bodies here from the Russian Federation as well as the other side, they claim it is all fake, and this is our theater.”

Venediktova said that international experts would be able see the situation. They can see all. They see every detail. This is why we consider this moment so important.

Moscow denies that it attacked civilians after the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2014. Moscow has denied that it targeted civilians since the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2014.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that images and footage of dead bodies in Bucha, Ukraine was fake.

Putin said at a televised news conference, that he had made the comparison between Ukrainian claims that Russian soldiers executed civilians at Bucha and what he claimed to be the West’s chemical weapons attack against Syria. This was in an attempt to incriminate Bashar Al-Assad.

Putin claimed that it was the exact same fake Bucha.

French authorities said Monday that the team, including experts in explosives/ballistics, was available to assist the International Criminal Court’s investigation.

Andriy Halavin was a local priest who said their work would help to show the world what had happened in Bucha, as well as the recent discoveries in his churchyard.

Halavin said that the victims didn’t just die from accidental explosions or being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but were deliberately shot.

“Some people were driving cars when they were shot. Some were walking on the streets at the time they were shot.

“It’s very important that everyone sees the truth because Russian propaganda tells lies, and stories.”
